About

Warm, compelling, and genuine. I'm not afraid to dig in my heels and get to the heart of a story. Journalism is my calling, and I pinch myself every day that I get to pursue my passion in paradise. Catch me anchoring the evening newscasts on KHON2 News at 5, 7, and 9p.m.

"They take journalism really seriously because they know the force that it is and can be."
- Christiane Amanpour

My career as a broadcast journalist started in 2012, at BRC TV-13 in Pennsylvania.

As someone born and raised in the suburbs of the Washington D.C. area (DMV, what up!), moving to the Poconos mountains was a culture shock. It was out of my comfort zone, but through that experience I learned it doesn’t matter where I am in the world - telling stories that matter to the community is what feeds my soul.

I quickly fell in love with the friendly folks of northeastern Pennsylvania (Pierogies! Haven’t tried them? Boy, you’re missing out). The forested lakes, peaks and valleys were my simple joys. Oh, I even tried skiing. To this day, I’m shocked I never broke a bone.

My love for journalism and wanderlust led me even further from home — 4,380 miles away, to be exact. In 2014, I was hired as a multimedia journalist at KHON2 News in Honolulu, Hawaii. I “one-man-banded” my way through paradise, eventually moving my way up to reporter, then fill-in anchor. I am now the evening news anchor for the 5pm, 7pm and 9pm newscasts.
